Because I felt like I should say something, most of this journal's now flocked. Well, I say most. Anything personal or school related, less because I'm scared of people seeing it then because I don't like my whining being on public display.
I suppose theoretically you could ask to be added, but there's not really much there. so, um.

Simon Pegg and Sue Perkins are so adorable on 99p challenge. Making up for the slightly (endearingly?) rubbish nature of the programme entirely.

Though I do get the problems with finding an actor who looks enough like a young Ian McKellen and can act well enough to pull it off, MEGA SAD FACE. Also I'm not entirely sure how it would work: Holocaust movie to mutant shenanagins without a humungous jarring tonal shift seems.. unlikely, and keeping it dark wouldn't really have an audience since it's about.. Xmen. so.
There is also the problem of what to do about Wanda and Pietro, since they'd be coming a bit out of left field this far into the series. Also while it would be awesome but hyper-unlikely if they were in the Avengers, I want to maintain the only universe where my OTP is almost-a-bit canon :p

Foood.

I'm thinking at the moment that I should start keeping a food blog/diary. The one thing putting me off is that I have days at a time when I make nothing more complicated than toast. But we shall see.
Anyway:
Made bagels for a late lunch using this recipe, substituting baking soda for the lye and about 1/3 wholemeal flour. The wholewheat was because I ran out of white bread flour rather than for holier-than-thou reasons, but since there wasn't any noticable change to the texture I might keep doing it that way.

Dinner was a sort of Koshari. Mostly following this, but using extra rice instead of pasta. The flavour was pretty good (mmm, raw garlic), but I would have prefered to have a bit more of a slightly smoother sauce, and I can't get onions crisp at all. Still a keeper though: more exciting than plain pasta, with more protein.

Rambling thoughts on Bafta: rather predictable. But whoo slumdog and hahahha Benjamin Button. James MacAvoy has a small head, Emma Watson needs to learn to read in a less annoying voice and I pity anyone who ends up studying with her. Lol supporting actor what the hell. Kind of bullshit noms since everyone knew Heath would win. Were they conspicuously not cutting to RDJ? he has been kind of douche-y about it. Yay Noel. You are pretty damn awesome and you haven't got Shia's misdemeanor record.
Ian McKellen has the most commanding voice ever. You just pay attention to him and wow. Kristen Scott Thomas is gorgeous in some way I can't properly articulate. Not quite sure why Mick Jagger gave out Best Picture. um. Jonathan Pryce's scarf! lol.

Sensible lists of people are far less interesting speeches then the ridiculous blubby ones.
